Potential buyers will be required to purchase a furniture package if they ever want to enter the rental pool. This is estimated to cost US$37,000 for a one-bedroom residence and US$47,000 for a two-bedroom residence. (These prices may be subject to change).
The furniture package includes not only beds, tables, chairs and plasma TVs, but every item you would expect in a fully furnished rental, right down to the cutlery.
Ocean II will utilize a share ownership structure, which is common in Barbados. Ocean II will own the building and individual owners will be Ocean II's shareholders. Your purchase of a share in Ocean II will provide you with exclusive ownership of a particular residence.
Participation in the rental program is an essential ingredient for the ongoing success of the hotel but it is optional. Your purchase of a share may entitle you to up to three months usage of your residence every year. This time can be utilized all at once or at different times throughout the year. You residence will be placed in the rental pool for the remaining nine months.
The developer has decided to offer Ocean Two as a Condominium purchase as alternative purchase option. The owner of the Condominium will be entitled to full usage of their unit at any time of the year however they will be responsible for furnishing their unit to be used at their convenience.
Our experience has showed us that owners tend to enter the rental pool at a later date as they see the returns that their neighbours are receiving. Therefore, purchasers who have chosen to not to enter the hotel pool upon purchasing, will be allowed to enter at a later date. However, at whatever stage a unit is entered into the rental pool, the owner must have the furniture package in their unit. The reason for this is to become uniformed within the guidelines laid out in the Condo-Hotel concept.
We encourage interested purchasers at the very beginning to take this into consideration as the furniture packages presented are sold at cost by the developer and to avoid the stress of outfitting their unit themselves.
